1776 Corporate Personnel 

Elizabeth A. First, President and Chief Executive Officer

Elizabeth has been with 1776 since 1994 and purchased the company on January 1, 2000 upon Bill's retirement.  She then became the President and CEO.  Elizabeth's Insurance career started in 1987 with PruCare of N. Texas as Account Manager for local and national-account clients, which included Kroger, Marriott Hotels, Hilton Hotels,  Verifone, Inc., and Bank of America, to name a few. She also was the Electronic Issue Brief system's in-house trainer and coordinator. Among Elizabeth's responsibilities, she assisted Prudential Agents on the Small Group insurance plans.  She also conducted new-hire and annual Open Enrollment meetings for PruCare employees.  Elizabeth transferred to the Atlanta PruCare Southern Regional office in September of 1992 where she worked with a team of Account Managers on a number of accounts, including Emory Hospital, Kroger and SunTrust Bank.  She served as the Vice President of the PruCare Diversity Management team, promoting diversity in the work place.

Petra E. Siegel, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Petra joined 1776 in February of 1997. Among her regular official duties, she is also the Group Benefits Manager.  Prior to coming to 1776, Petra was a Registered Nurse, working in a hospital in Dahn, Germany, as a head nurse in the ICU department.  Currently, Petra assists our agents and/or clients with their group benefit product  and service needs, development and publishing of marketing materials, and has successfully secured a coveted exclusive membership for 1776 with a local network of diverse business owners.

Laura J. Gavin, Marketing Sales Support

Laura joined 1776 in January of 2003 and currently acts as Marketing Support for the Group and Individual product departments.  Laura's brings with her an eight year experience in Accounting and Office Management.  Currently, she addresses the service needs of our Individual product agent and client needs.
